Maine Online Casino Apps and Gambling Offers 2024

Is it legal to gamble online in maine? Here is our Maine Online Casino Guide. Learn about the best gambling sites and casino apps, as well as bonuses.

Among the states without online casino gambling, Maine appears to be a mover and shaker determined to keep the process forward in motion during 2024. It was only in November of 2023 that legal and regulated online sports betting was launched in the Pine Tree State, but there’s already a drive afoot within the state legislature to get online casino gambling also moving toward legalization.

A casino bill is being carried over from last year’s session for further consideration. Bill LD-1777, put forth by Rep. Laura Supica (D-Bangor) and co-sponsored by five other Maine lawmakers, including the state’s Democratic leadership, would be offering online casino gambling to the public through the same process that online sports betting was legalized.

The bill proposes giving control of online casino gambling to the state’s four tribal nations. The tribes would not be permitted to transfer their online gaming license to any business or organization other than those that are wholly-owned subsidiaries of that tribe. The process would be regulated under the auspices of the Maine Gambling Control Unit.

Interestingly, one of the staunchest opponents of this concept is the MGCU. They would prefer that the licensing process be more open to competition. As well, Maine Governor Janet Mills has expressed her opposition to the legalization of online casino gambling in her state.

Sports Betting Booming In Maine

In the short time period that it’s been legalized, online and mobile sports betting is proving to be a real boon for the Maine economy. Some $3.5 million was wagered in the state on the Super Bowl game between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers.

Mainers have already placed more than 110 million sports bets online since it was legalized. According to Milt Champion, Maine’s Gambling Control Board Director, those 110 million wagers have created some $1.4 million in revenue for the state.

Considering that the revenue generated by online casino gambling dwarfs the amount earned from online sports betting, the rapid sports betting action must certainly be giving pause for thought to Maine lawmakers weighing the decision of whether to expand online gaming in the state to include casino apps.

Possible Maine Online Casinos

Currently, only two online sportsbooks are in operation in the state of Maine, but they are two of the biggest players in the industry. Caesars and DraftKings were the licensed sportsbooks which saw their apps legalized to operate in Maine as of Nov. 3, 2023.

Certainly, were Maine to quickly move to legalize online casino gambling, it would be logical to suggest that these betting sites would have a leg up on getting an online casino license, since they are already operating in the state and have been thoroughly vetted by state officials.

Still, considering the revenue that online casino gambling generates, you can be sure that some of the other leading online casino sites will also be entering the bidding for a license when the time comes that Maine legalizes casino apps in the state.

DraftKings Casino Maine

With their prominent sports betting app already entrenched in the Pine Tree State, look for DraftKings to be one of the casino sites making a major push to add an online casino license to their repertoire in Maine. There’s a lot that DraftKings has to offer from a casino app point of view. They provide access to thousands of games, including slots, table and card games and a live dealer area. DraftKings delivers several of its own unique games, such as their popular crash gambling game DraftKings Rocket. This is also an ideal site for the newcomer to casino gambling. DraftKings Maine offers an extensive library of how-to Casino 101 style instruction manuals. At the DraftKings Casino (not live in Maine yet), newcomers get to choose their welcome offer. There’s a 100% deposit bonus of up to $2,000 in casino bonus funds, or a 100% deposit match worth up to $100 in casino credits.

BetMGM Online Casino Maine

With literally thousands of slots to play, including new and exclusive games, jackpots, and progressives like their popular MGM Grand Millions, BetMGM touches all the bases when it comes to an online casino site. Play table games like Blackjack Premium Pro, or enter the BetMGM live dealer and get dealt into a hand of ultimate Texas Hold’em. The BetMGM app operates with the same sleekness as its design. Sign up for a new BetMGM casino account and you‘ll get rewarded with a 100% deposit match, worth up to $1,000 when you deposit at least $10. Plus, you’ll get $25 in casino bonus funds, on the house.

Caesars Palace Casino App Maine

Equipped with a brilliant loyalty rewards program that enables you to build points toward stays in their world-class resorts, Caesars Palace also embraces new players with a sensational welcome bonus offer. Sign up for Caesars Palace online casino and get a $10 sign-up bonus along with a 100% deposit match of up to $1,000.

Plus, you’ll enjoy 2,500 Caesars Rewards credits that can be redeemed online or on property when you wager $25 or more. The latest in Caesars Palace promotions always hold a place of prominence in the top right corner of their web page. You’ll also be able to quickly determine which of their games are proving popular via their trending games category. Play lightning dice or crazy coin flip in their live dealer area and try out carnival games like Casino War, slingo, video poker, lucky tap, Megaways and massive progressive jackpots such as Elephant King mega jackpot. Already with a sports betting license in the state, you’d have to think that Caesars will be a top contender when online casino licenses come up for bidding.

Bet365 Maine

The online betting giant is taking a much more aggressive approach of late in terms of expansion across the US market. Bet365 is steadily growing and now has a presence in nine US states. However, the only Bet365 online casino in the US operates in New Jersey. Could Bet365 see Maine as a potential site to take the next step in online casino gambling in the US market? Perhaps. Certainly, the Bet365 online casino doesn’t measure up in sheer volume of games to rivals like BetMGM or DraftKings. However, they do have their own in-house design studio, so you will find exclusive games to play at Bet365 that you won’t locate anywhere else. And you can take advantage of the Bet365 new player welcome bonus of up to $1000 in a first deposit match.
