How the Betway free bet offer works
Choose the sports offer when you sign up, deposit at least £10 with a debit card within 7 days and put £10 or more on a bet at Evens (2.0) or bigger. Say you back Arsenal to beat Brighton at 6/5 for the Saturday 3pm kick-off. Win or lose, once it settles you get four £10 free bet tokens.
This is where Betway differs from most rivals. Two tokens are for Bet Builders and two are for accumulators, and every one needs at least four legs with total odds of 4.0 (3/1) or bigger. The acca tokens also need each selection to be at 1.30 or bigger. You can’t stick a tenner on a single horse at Cheltenham with them.
Each-way punters need to be careful with the qualifying bet. An each-way bet only counts at 2/1 (3.0) or bigger, and a bet taken at SP doesn’t count at all. So if you want to qualify on the horses, take a fixed price.
The free bets run out 7 days after they land, and the free bet stake isn’t returned with any winnings. They can’t go on multi-line bets like Trixies, Patents or Yankees either.
Put a £10 token on a four-leg football acca at 5/1 and if it lands you get £50 back, because the £10 stake isn’t returned. The problem is that four-leg accas lose far more often than they win. If you landed one of the four tokens at 5/1, your £40 would turn into £50 of cash. Treat it as four cheap shots at a bigger price rather than £40 in your pocket.

Who owns Betway?
Betway is part of Super Group (SGHC Ltd), which has been listed on the New York Stock Exchange since January 2022. UK customers bet with Betway Limited, a company based in Gzira, Malta, licensed by the Gambling Commission under account 39372.
On the record: in September 2022 the Commission fined Betway £408,915 after its branding appeared on pages of West Ham United’s website aimed at children, between April 2020 and November 2021.
