Gala Bingo Review UK: 100 Free Spins With No Wagering

Gala is one of the oldest names in British bingo, and the online site is still a proper bingo site with 90-ball, 75-ball and speed rooms, chat hosts and a free room every day. The odd thing is the welcome offer: it’s 100 free spins on slots, not a bingo bonus. The good news is there’s no wagering on what you win.

Here’s how the offer works, what it’s realistically worth, what the rooms are like, and why Gala’s Trustpilot score is one of the lowest we’ve seen.

Gala Bingo key facts

Gala Bingo free spins, no wagering: how the offer works

You’d expect a bingo site to welcome you with bingo tickets. Gala doesn’t. The current new customer offer is 100 free spins, and you unlock it by playing slots, not bingo. Since 19 January 2026 UK operators can’t make you play across different products, say bingo and slots, to unlock a single bonus, so this one is slots from start to finish.

The steps are simple. Within 7 days of opening your account, make a first deposit of £10 in one transaction, then spend that £10 on any slot. Two £5 top-ups won’t count, so do it in one go. Once your slots spend is done, the 100 spins are credited automatically and you claim them from the Promotions tab.

The spins are worth 10p each and work on four games: Fishin’ Frenzy, King Kong Cash Even Bigger Bananas, Lock O’ The Irish and Pig Banker 3 Little Piggies. You have 7 days to use them once they’re credited.

The best bit is that there’s no wagering. Anything you win from the spins is paid as cash and you can withdraw it. Watch your payment method, though. PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, Paysafe, Envoy, MoneyBookers and prepaid cards all rule you out, so use a debit card.

Gala Bingo promo code: do you need one?

No. There’s no Promo Code for the Gala Bingo welcome offer. Open an account through our link, make a £10 first deposit and spend £10 on any slot, and 100 free spins with no wagering are credited automatically.

How to claim your Gala Bingo bonus

Who owns Gala Bingo?

Gala Bingo is part of Entain, the group behind Ladbrokes and Coral. The UK site runs under LC International Limited, a Gibraltar-registered company licensed by the Gambling Commission under account 54743. Foxy Bingo sits under the same licence, which is why the two sites’ welcome offers look so alike.

The Gala brand launched on 17 October 1991, and for years it meant the bingo club on your high street. That link is gone now. Gala’s land-based clubs were sold to Caledonia Investments in December 2015 and became Buzz Bingo in September 2018. The online brand stayed with Gala Coral, then Ladbrokes Coral, and is now Entain. So if your nan still talks about bingo night at the Gala, that club is a Buzz today and has nothing to do with this website.

One thing worth knowing: in August 2022 Entain agreed a £17 million settlement with the Gambling Commission over social responsibility and anti-money-laundering failings. LC International’s share was around £14 million, made up of £544,048.03 in divested profits and £13,455,952 paid in lieu of a penalty. Ladbrokes, Coral and Foxy Bingo were among its sites. It’s a reminder that big brands get fined too, and that you should expect source-of-funds questions if you deposit large amounts.

Gala Bingo rooms, free bingo and chat

Gala runs its bingo on Entain’s own software, and the room list covers every ball format most UK players look for, from a slow Sunday 90-ball game to a quick 30-ball blast.

What do players say about Gala Bingo?

Not a lot of good, to be honest. Gala Bingo scores 1.2 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 1,531 reviews (checked October 2026), and 86% of those are one-star. Trustpilot also notes that Gala hasn’t replied to negative reviews. Review sites tend to attract unhappy customers, but the same themes keep coming up in recent reviews:

• ID checks before withdrawals. Several reviewers in September and October 2026 said they were asked for documents more than once before a payout went through, with one describing a wait of around 36 hours.
• Accounts restricted. Some players said their accounts were suspended or closed after they won or complained.
• Fewer freebies. Long-standing players feel bonuses and free spins have dried up, and that you now have to spend to get anything.
• Slots that “never pay”. A common gripe, though every slot has a fixed return set by the game maker, so this is more about luck than Gala itself.
• Some fast payouts. On the positive side, one recent reviewer said money landed in their bank account quickly.

Gala Bingo: the good and the not so good

Gala Bingo vs Foxy Bingo, BingoStars and Mecca Bingo

Here’s how Gala’s welcome offer stacks up against three other UK bingo sites.

Gala, Foxy and BingoStars all give you 100 no-wagering spins for a £10 spend, so the difference is in the detail. Foxy lets you count casino games as well as slots and gives you longer to qualify. BingoStars’ spins expire after just 48 hours. If you actually want bingo money, Mecca is the one here that lets you pick a bingo bonus, and it adds a club voucher for its halls.

Is Gala Bingo worth joining?

If you like a mix of 90-ball, speed bingo and the odd slot, Gala is worth a look. The rooms are varied, there’s a free bingo room every day, and the 100 no-wagering spins are a fair, simple deal for a £10 slots spend. Think of them as about £10 of spins with whatever you win paid as cash.

Just go in with your eyes open. The offer won’t buy you a single bingo ticket, the payment rules are strict, and the Trustpilot reviews are grim. Get verified before you play so your first withdrawal isn’t held up. If you’d rather have a bingo bonus, compare the alternatives on our best UK bingo sites page.
