Here’s what we think are the best casino apps UK players can download right now.
Betway, Ladbrokes Casino and Coral Casino are best because they combine high UK App Store ratings from thousands of players with welcome offers that carry no wagering on the free spin winnings.
Betway’s app scores 4.7 from about 14,000 ratings, and the two Entain apps score 4.6 from more than 30,000 each.
We checked every rating, rating count, app size and update date on the UK App Store in October 2026.
Then we read what players actually write in their reviews, the good and the bad, because a 4.6 average can hide a lot of angry one-star posts about withdrawals.
Below you’ll find our top 10 real money casino apps, a ratings table, what players praise and complain about for each app, the free spins you can claim on your phone, iPhone and Android notes, and how to download safely.
Enjoy!

These are the operators’ own App Store screenshots from the UK store, taken from the four best-rated apps in our list.

All figures come from the UK App Store and were checked in October 2026. The number of ratings matters as much as the score: a 4.6 from 35,000 players tells you more than a 4.2 from 300.
| App | App Store rating | Number of ratings | Size | Last updated | Needs |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Betway Casino | 4.7 | 14,017 | 63 MB | 15 Oct 2026 | iOS 15.1 |
| Ladbrokes Casino | 4.6 | 35,236 | 101 MB | 18 Aug 2026 | iOS 18.0 |
| Coral Casino | 4.6 | 32,201 | 102 MB | 23 Sep 2026 | iOS 18.0 |
| Betfred (sports, casino and games) | 4.6 | 69,164 | 49 MB | 2 Oct 2026 | iOS 17.0 |
| 32Red Casino | 4.6 | 10,097 | 256 MB | 12 Oct 2026 | iOS 17.0 |
| Unibet Casino | 4.6 | 10,306 | 318 MB | 12 Oct 2026 | iOS 17.0 |
| bet365 Casino | 4.5 | 20,781 | 27 MB | 20 Aug 2026 | iOS 15.0 |
| PlayOJO | 4.4 | 19,013 | 25 MB | 14 Oct 2026 | iOS 15.0 |
| NetBet Casino | 4.2 | 284 | 27 MB | 13 Oct 2026 | iOS 16.5 |
| Casumo | 4.2 | 2,006 | 53 MB | 5 Oct 2026 | iOS 15.0 |
| Grosvenor Casino | 4.1 | 12,891 | 128 MB | 7 Oct 2026 | iOS 15.6 |
| Genting Casino | 4.0 | 951 | 17 MB | 22 Sep 2026 | iOS 15.0 |
| JackpotCity | 2.8 | 20 | 18 MB | 9 Oct 2026 | iOS 16.6 |
| Hippodrome Casino | 2.7 | 69 | 15 MB | 16 Jul 2025 | iOS 13.0 |
Two apps at the bottom are worth a word. Hippodrome’s app has a 2.7 from just 69 ratings and hadn’t been updated since July 2025 when we checked. JackpotCity’s UK app is 2.8 from only 20 ratings. Both casinos work fine in a phone browser, so you don’t need the app. We tried to pull Google Play ratings for these apps too, but couldn’t get figures we were confident in, so we’ve left them out rather than guess.
Betway gets our top spot because it has the highest score in our list, 4.7, from a big enough crowd to trust it: 14,017 ratings. It’s also the most recently updated app we checked, with a new version out on 15 October 2026, and at 63 MB it won’t eat your storage.
This is a separate app from Betway’s sports betting app, so you only get the casino. The listing promises a daily prize wheel, slot tournaments with a leaderboard, progressive jackpots and live tables. Say you deposit £20 by debit card and stake it on slots: you get 50 free spins a day for three days, each worth 10p. That’s £15 of spins, and whatever you win from them is yours to withdraw.
It’s not perfect. Read the most helpful reviews on the App Store and plenty are from players who lost money and blame the games. One App Store reviewer who liked the payouts said withdrawals took anywhere from 2 to 24 hours, and that live chat didn’t show a queue. Another said they qualified for free spins and were then blocked from them for 24 hours, which they only learned after wagering.
If Betway isn’t for you, Ladbrokes Casino is the best runner-up, with more than twice as many ratings at 4.6.
We read the reviews the UK App Store shows first for each app. Be aware that these lean negative: unhappy players are far more likely to write a long review than happy ones, which is why the star average is usually higher than the tone of the written reviews.
A few complaints come up on almost every app. The biggest is ID and source-of-funds checks holding up a withdrawal, sometimes for weeks. The second is players convinced the slots are rigged after a losing run. The third is confusion over bonus terms. Licensed casinos have to check who you are and where your money comes from, so verify your account before you need to withdraw, not after a big win.
Good: players who like it mention the game choice and the offers. Bad: withdrawal times are a common gripe, along with a live blackjack screen that one App Store reviewer said lagged or missed taps. Several older reviews ask Betway to close their account after heavy losses, and the developer’s replies mostly point them to support.
Good: one long-time reviewer said it’s the only slots site they still use after trying more than 30, and another reported instant withdrawals. Bad: complaints about bonus funds needing far more play than expected, freezing games and a broken daily spin wheel. One player was unhappy that withdrawals go back to the method they deposited with, which is normal practice for UK casinos.
Good: fans like the Rewards Grabber, the game range and safer gambling support, and one said payouts were quick. Bad: bonus wagering is the main complaint, alongside an account locked for weeks during verification. One App Store reviewer warned that topping up mid-game left their stake higher than expected, so check your stake before you spin.
Good: sports bettors praise the odds, racing cards and bet builder, and older reviews mention fast withdrawals. Bad: crashes and a slow app come up in several reviews, and slot players say the bonus features rarely pay back their stake. One App Store reviewer called the marketing “very intrusive” and said free spins paid only a few pounds.
Good: one App Store reviewer said “quick deposits and withdrawals is just great”, and others like the live dealers and game range. Bad: several reviewers think payouts have dropped, and a high-stakes player said their deposit limits were cut after big wins. bet365 replies to most complaints that its games are tested and certified.
Good: one reviewer praised the redesigned layout, the demo mode for trying games free and the pop-up reminders to play safely. Another cashed out £200, then £530 the next day. Bad: long verification before withdrawals, including a request for a selfie holding a bill, and complaints that bonus winnings needed much more play than expected.
Good: one App Store reviewer wrote “I have never had trouble with withdrawals on this site”, and another said documents were approved within 12 hours. Bad: you have to wait for one withdrawal to finish before you can request another, support isn’t live chat so replies can take time, and some players report games crashing.
Good: the star average is high, at 4.6 from more than 10,000 ratings. Bad: the written reviews shown first are almost all about frozen accounts and withdrawals held while Unibet asked for payslips or card photos. If you plan to play with large sums, expect to be asked for proof of where the money comes from.
Good: fast payouts get mentioned a lot. One App Store reviewer said “I received my winnings just a few hours later”, and another liked paying by Trustly. Bad: verification again, with one player asked for payslips and another saying a withdrawal of just under £100 was held for weeks.
Good: a few players say Grosvenor pays out quickly, one writing “they pay on the day or night”. Bad: the app logging users out every few minutes, crashes during bonus rounds, and live roulette and baccarat players who say their bets were rejected after a winning run.
None of these offers is app-only. You get the same welcome deal whether you sign up in the app or in a browser. Here’s what each one is worth in pounds.
| App | Welcome offer | What you need to do | Wagering |
|---|---|---|---|
| bet365 Casino | Up to 500 free spins over 10 days | £10 in lifetime deposits, Promo Code 365GMBLR, pick a prize of 5, 10, 20 or 50 spins each day | None |
| Betfred Games | 200 free spins at 10p (£20 of spins) | Promo Code SPINS, debit card deposit, stake £10 on slots within 14 days | None |
| Betway Casino | 150 free spins at 10p (£15 of spins) | Deposit and stake £20 by debit card, spins arrive 50 a day over three days | None |
| Ladbrokes Casino | 100 free spins at 10p (£10 of spins) | Deposit and bet £10 on slots | None |
| Coral Casino | 100 free spins at 10p (£10 of spins) | Deposit and bet £10 on slots | None |
| PlayOJO | 50 free spins on Big Bass Bonanza at 10p | First deposit, not open in Northern Ireland | None |
| 32Red Casino | 320 free spins at 10p (£32 of spins) | Stake £30 on slots, debit card or instant bank transfer, spins expire in 48 hours | 10x on spin winnings |
| Unibet Casino | 300 free spins at 10p (£30 of spins) | Stake £30 on slots, debit card or instant bank transfer, spins expire in 48 hours | 10x on spin winnings |
Say you take 32Red’s 320 spins and win £20 from them. With 10x wagering you need to play £200 before that £20 becomes cash. At Betway, Ladbrokes or Coral, a £20 win from the spins is cash straight away. Inside the apps you’ll also find free extras for existing players: Betway’s daily prize wheel, Coral’s Rewards Grabber, Ladbrokes’ free-to-play games and bet365’s Dual Drop prizes. Read the terms on each one, as they change often.
If you mainly play slots, Ladbrokes Casino is our pick. Its listing claims more than 1,800 slots, and it has more ratings than any other casino-only app we checked. Betfred says Betfred Games has more than 2,000 titles, and Genting Casino‘s listing claims more than 9,000 slots, though its app has fewer than 1,000 ratings.
For jackpot slots, 32Red and Unibet both list Mega Moolah, and Unibet adds Wheel of Wishes. Casumo runs Reel Races, short slot tournaments with cash prizes, and its Quick Launch shows the last four slots you played.
Remember the legal stake limit applies in apps too. Since 9 April 2025 the most you can stake on an online slot is £5 a spin if you’re 25 or over. Since 21 May 2025 it’s £2 a spin if you’re 18 to 24. Table games like roulette and blackjack aren’t covered.
Your account, balance and bonuses are the same whichever you use. PlayOJO, for example, says on its own site that you can play the same games in your phone’s browser and treats the app as optional. So the choice comes down to convenience.
Why use the app: it’s quicker to open, you can stay logged in, and some apps add features the website doesn’t. Casumo supports Face ID and Touch ID, and Grosvenor lists app-exclusive slots.
Why use the browser: nothing to download, no storage used, and no push notifications nudging you to play. That last point matters. If you find promotional pop-ups hard to ignore, the mobile site is the calmer option. It’s also the better choice for low-rated apps like Hippodrome’s, where the website gets the attention and the app hadn’t been updated for over a year.
Storage is worth a look. Unibet’s app is 318 MB and 32Red’s is 256 MB, against 25 MB for PlayOJO and 27 MB for bet365. On an older iPhone with little space left, that’s a real difference.
Apple and Google only allow real money casino apps from licensed operators. Apple’s App Store rules say real money gaming apps must have the licences needed where they’re used, must be geo-restricted to those places and must be free to download. Google Play allows them only in selected countries, and says each app needs a valid licence for every country it’s offered in, must pass Google’s application process and must be free to install.
Check your iOS version before you get excited. Ladbrokes and Coral need iOS 18, and Betfred, 32Red and Unibet need iOS 17. If your iPhone is stuck on an older version, bet365, PlayOJO and Casumo work from iOS 15. Every casino app we checked is rated 17+ on the App Store, but you still have to be 18 to open an account and you’ll be age-verified before you can play.
You can’t top up a casino balance through Apple’s in-app purchases, as Apple’s rules don’t allow it. Deposits go through the casino’s own cashier by debit card, Apple Pay where offered, or bank transfer.
Download from Google Play, or from the link on the casino’s own website. PlayOJO, for example, links straight to its Google Play listing from its site. Don’t install an APK file from a third-party website or a link in a message, even if it carries a casino’s logo. There’s no way to know what’s inside it, and it hasn’t been through Google’s checks.
Google Play star ratings are shown separately from the App Store’s, and the two can differ a lot for the same casino. We’ve only quoted App Store figures on this page because those are the ones we could check properly.
A fake casino app can take your deposit and your bank details. These checks take five minutes.
Gambling on your phone is easy, which is exactly why the tools matter. Every licensed UK casino app has to offer the same protections as the website: deposit limits, time-outs, self-exclusion and GAMSTOP. Since 31 October 2025, new customers are asked to set a deposit limit before their first deposit.
Some apps make the tools easier to find than others. PlayOJO‘s listing names Safe Mate, which tracks your time and spend, plus Take A Break and deposit limits. 32Red lists deposit limits and session reminders, and one App Store reviewer said its pop-up reminders to play safely were a plus. Genting also lists Safe Mate.
Set your limit on the day you sign up, before you play. It’s harder to pick a sensible number after a losing session. And if you want a full break, GAMSTOP blocks you from every UK-licensed gambling site and app in one go, for 6 months, 1 year or 5 years.
Your phone can help too. Turn off push notifications for casino apps, or move the app off your home screen. If gambling stops being fun, the National Gambling Helpline is free on 0808 8020 133, day or night.
